If your device can't provide a location, we estimate your nearest city from your IP address instead. We use this only to show your forecast and do not store it.
- Server logs: Like most websites, our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, page requested, date and browser type) to keep the site secure and working. These logs are deleted automatically after 14 days.
- Usage data: We use Google Analytics to collect anonymised data about how users interact with the site, such as pages visited, time spent on page, and general geographic region. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you personally.
- Cookies: We use cookies to remember your unit preference (°C or °F) and to serve relevant advertisements via Google AdSense.

Services That Help Deliver Your Forecast
To show your weather, some information is sent to these outside services. None of them receive it for marketing.
- Open-Meteo and MET Norway receive the coordinates of the place you're looking at, to return the forecast. Open-Meteo also receives city names you search for.
- OpenStreetMap Nominatim receives your coordinates to find the name of your town.
- ipwho.is (or, as a backup, ip-api.com) receives your IP address when we need to estimate your location from it.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your data
- Opt out of cookies and tracking via your browser settings
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
