📡 Our Data Sources

ClearCast is powered by Open-Meteo, a free and open-source weather API that aggregates data from world-leading meteorological services including NOAA (USA), ECMWF (Europe), DWD (Germany), and Météo-France. This ensures our forecasts are highly accurate and globally consistent.

Location search is handled by the Open-Meteo Geocoding API and OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service, covering millions of cities, towns, and villages across every continent.

✍️ How We Create and Review Content

ClearCast is an independently operated weather utility and learning library. Our forecast interface presents data from the providers named above; we do not create or alter the underlying numerical forecast. Our editorial team writes the explanatory guides and city climate summaries published on this site.

For weather-science and safety articles, we check terminology and recommendations against primary meteorological and public-safety sources such as national weather services, NOAA, the World Meteorological Organization, and the forecast-model documentation maintained by our data providers. Temperatures are shown in both Fahrenheit and Celsius, and articles include publication and revision dates so readers can judge how current they are.

Forecasts always contain uncertainty, especially further into the future. ClearCast is intended for everyday planning, not as a replacement for official warnings or emergency instructions. During severe weather, follow your national or local weather authority.

🔎 Corrections and Transparency

We aim to explain weather clearly without overstating forecast precision. If you find a factual error, outdated recommendation, broken feature, or accessibility problem, email us with the page address and a short description. We review correction requests and update the article's revision date when a substantive change is made.

ClearCast is supported by advertising. Advertising never determines our forecast data, article conclusions, or the topics we choose to explain.
